The Santarcangelo Festival is the oldest Italian festival dedicated to contemporary performing arts and one of the most important European events in theater and dance. From July 4th to 13th, 2025, the 55th edition will transform the medieval village of Santarcangelo into a “festival city,” with over 150 events including performances, installations, concerts, workshops, and meetings, many of them free.
Curated by Polish dramaturge Tomasz Kireńczuk, the festival will host 40 Italian and international companies, offering interdisciplinary projects that explore the boundaries between performing arts and social engagement. Events will take place in various city spaces, including theaters, squares, streets, and unconventional locations, creating a dialogue between art and the local community.
